Dr. Laura Chretien, DVM
Dr. Laura, our Medical Director, was raised on a farm just outside of the Charlottesville area. She worked at a veterinary clinic in the area before heading off to college. Dr. Laura graduated Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University where she majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Spanish. Dr. Laura graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School. Dr. Laura has an interest in feline medicine and surgery, as well as laser surgery and therapy. She is working toward a certification in acupuncture. Dr. Laura is married and has several feline kids.
Lisa Hong, DVM
Dr. Hong pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the University of Maryland and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association with experience in emergency medicine and surgery. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and small animal medicine. When she is not busy caring for her furry, four legged patients, Dr. Hong loves to immerse herself in DIY (do-it-yourself) projects. She has an addiction to Pinterest, which keeps her mind swirling with new ideas for interior design and decor. She loves spending time with her own babies: 5 dogs and 2 cats! She also enjoys gardening. Dr. Hong works with our hospital part-time in surgery.
Dr. Ahmad graduated with honors from the University of Agriculture, Pakistan in 1993 and completed his ECFVG training in Maryland in 2007. Dr. Ahmad has practiced veterinary medicine for the past ten years. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as MVMA, and DC Academy of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ahmed is a very fun doctor who enjoys interacting with our clients and patients.
Dr. Yong Chang
Dr. Chang graduated from Kangwan National University Veterinary School in South Korea in 2000. He attended advanced training in veterinary medicine at Guelph University in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Chang enjoys working with people and their pets. He is married and has a young daughter. Dr. Chang says their son is their kitty.
